Your cartilage is made primarily of collagen. So are your tendons and ligaments. The amount, and condition, of collagen is by far the largest determinant of the health of all three. The University of Washington medical journal cites: “The material strength and biological properties of articular cartilage depend heavily on its uniquely and extensively cross-linked collagen network.” That’s “medical speak” for healthy collagen equals healthy cartilage. In a separate clinical trial, the active ingredient, choline-stabilized OrthoSilicic Acid (ch-OSA), is proven to generate collagen. With cs-OSA, you can now attack the root cause of joint discomfort – not just mask the symptoms.

Masking the symptoms may make you feel temporarily better, but it allows joint problems to get even worse. Cartilage “fragmentation” is the root cause of joint pain. Cartilage is the “front line” defense against joint pain. Cartilage “buffers” the ends of the bones that meet. Think of it as a “spongey” shock absorber. Cartilage literally “covers” the ends of bones preventing them from rubbing together when you move. But due to injury, or aging, cartilage can begin to “fragment.” These cartilage fragments then lodge themselves directly in the joint. This is when you feel pain and experience loss of flexibility and diminished range of motion. When enough cartilage degrades, bones begin to rub against one another causing osteo-arthritis. What causes cartilage fragmentation?

Biosil JointsAn injury directly to the cartilage, or course. Or the aging process in general. But injuries to tendons and ligaments also lead to “cartilage fragmentation” as weakened tendons and ligaments place greater stress on your cartilage. The amount of joint discomfort you experience depends on the condition of your cartilage. Damaged cartilage releases “cartilage fragments” into the joint, causing extreme discomfort, loss of flexibility and diminished range of motion. Your cartilage can become damaged directly due to injury and age, or indirectly through damage to tendons and especially ligaments. If the fragmentation of cartilage continues long enough, bones begin grinding against one another. The grinding not only causes additional pain, but can wear down bone and cause osteoarthritis.

In a double-blind, placebo controlled clinical trial, ch-OSA is proven to inhibit the fragmentation of cartilage in men, relieve joint discomfort, increase flexibility and create greater range of motion (see complete clinical trial results). In a separate clinical trial ch-OSA, is proven to generate collagen, exactly what tendons, ligaments and cartilage are made of. Finally, men have a bona fide solution to joint problems that deals with the root cause, not just attempts to mask the symptoms.

On Your Game
BioSil On Your GameOn Your Game by Natural Factors contains BioSil cs-OSA. This is the active ingredient that has been clinically shown to provide these benefits for men’s joints. The focus of the clinical trials involved men so that is the basis for the claims. In this interview, Richard Passwater, Jr. discusses the science of collagen formation and it’s importance in human nutrition. He discusses the science that has revealed the importance of BioSil for collagen formation and it’s role in supporting strong, flexible joints.

Molecular biologists have pinpointed the key structural protein integrally involved

BioSil’s ch-OSA collagen generator has been the subject of the most rigorous testing procedure known: the double blind, placebo-controlled university conducted clinical trial. It is considered the gold standard in measuring results, and is employed by the pharmaceutical companies. The clinical results, now published in peer-reviewed medical journals, were as dramatic as they were statistically significant. Subjects taking BioSil ch-OSA showed a marked decrease in fine lines and wrinkles, greater skin elasticity, thicker and stronger hair, harder nails and an increase in bone mineral density (BMD) at the critical hip region. Best of all, BioSil’s ch-OSA has been proven safe. To learn about these other benefits, listen to my previous interview with Richard Passwater Jr.
