Diosmin, from citrus, improves hemorrhoids, and helps restore normal vein function

Dr. Paul NemiroffDiosmin is a type of plant bioflavinoid found mainly in citrus fruits. Diosmin is used for treating various disorders of blood vessels including hemorrhoids, varicose veins, poor circulation in the legs (venous stasis), and bleeding (hemorrhage) in the eye or gums. It is also used to treat swelling of the arms (lymphedema) following breast cancer surgery, and to protect against liver toxicity. What dosage do you take and how often? How long does it take for varicose veins to go away? Cheryl

The dosage is 500 mg. twice per day. How long it will take will depend on your personal variables. How long have you had them? How bad are they? How extensive are they? Do you smoke? What other health challenges do you face? These variables will be factors in how you respond. You can start getting some benefit right away but it may take awhile for it to be evident to you. A three month trial would be a good start.
