025 – Dr. Don Brown Discusses Herbal Pain Relief

Innovative Herbal Extracts Provide More Effective Pain Relief

Dr. Don BrownIn this interview Dr. Don Brown discusses the clinical research on an innovative herbal extract called Meriva. (See podcast 21, for my interview with Dr. Parris Kidd on Meriva Curcumin). Dr. Brown discusses a new formula that includes Meriva and also standardized Boswellia and White Willow extracts. Herbal medicines are becoming more effective as ongoing research uncovers the hidden benefits and innovative products that deliver those benefits. The specific product we are discussing is Curica Pain Relief by Nature’s Way.

When you are dealing with pain, it is a sign that something is wrong. Relieving the pain is important, however that is only part of your solution. For the most effective results you must do two other things as well. You must flood your system with marine based omega three oils. Without this step, you will never be totally successful with controlling pain and inflammation. The balance of omega-3 to omega-6 is critical in gaining control over chronic inflammation. The third step is to provide specific tissue support. Whatever your specific problem is, take nutrients that support that tissue.  For example, if you have artiritis issue, take fish oil for inflammation, take nutrients to support joint health, and take a formula that can provide pain relief.

This three step approach will give you greatest chance to be successful, because you are addressing the various needs of your condition. There is rarely only one product that will provide the broad based benefits you are looking for.

This is a question you could ask the company. The manufacturer is Nature’s Way. They should be able to answer your question. Your question could use some refining.
Can you take Curica when taking blood thinner drugs?
Can Curica thin the blood by itself?
I don’t have the answers to those questions.
